We are deeply saddened by the death of New Orleans analyst Battle Bell III. Battle passed away of a stroke precipitated by his lymphoma on Monday, June 26.  His funeral was Saturday, July 1, in New Orleans, and the richness Battle brought to so many lives was evident in the ample attendance. BELL Battle Bell III, designer of homes, builder of lives, passed away at Touro Infirmary at 10:00 PM on Monday, June 26, 2006 from a stroke due to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was sixty-one years old. Over seventeen years, Mr. Bell worked as an architect in Florida, New York City, Rome, Italy and New Orleans. A Diplomate of the C. G. Jung Institute of Zurich, Switzerland, he practiced Jungian psychoanalysis in New Orleans for twenty years. He was a senior analyst, supervisor and teacher of the Inter-regional Society of Jungian Analysts, co-founder of the New Orleans Seminar and had been advisor to the C. G. Jung Society of New Orleans since its founding in 1987. Mr. Bell served on the vestries of St. Paul's Within the Walls of Rome, St. George's Anglican Church of Zurich and St. George's Episcopal Church in New Orleans. He was an active member of The Round Table Club, the Mallory Society, the Priory of Saint Bernard de Clairvaux of the Knights Templar and a member of numerous Mardi Gras Societies. Battle Bell III is survived by his wife of thirty-six wonderful years, Susan Bell, his son Battle Bell IV, his daughter Honorine Richarde Bell (Rini), one sister, Marianna Bell Pawlik, three nieces, Polly Pawlik, Ginger Dernehl, and Sandy Gonzales, five great nieces, and an extended family of beloved friends and colleagues. Although a fallen hero, Mr. Bell will always be remembered as a true hero and champion by his family and the many others who blessed his life. In his time, he served well both God and man. A visitation will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Avenue, NOLA on Saturday, July 1 from 1:00 PM 3:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at .3:00 PM.
